THE CENTURY OF RESTORATION OF SUBURBAN PALACES. TRAGEDY AND TRIUMPH
The meeting was held within the framework of "The Age of Museums" project, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the museum life of the former suburban Royal residences in St. Petersburg. The organizing committee of the conference included the directors of the state museums-reserves of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region: E.Y. Kalnitskaya, O.V. Taratynova, V.A. Dementieva, V.U. Pankratov. The round table "Scientific restoration or restoration science?" was attended by the chief architects of the state museums-reserves of Peterhof, Tsarskoe Selo, Gatchina, and Pavlovsk and the Chairman of the Council of the Union of Restorers of St. Petersburg. During the conference, the exhibition "Grand Palace — Grand Restoration", dedicated to the post-war restoration of the Grand Peterhof Palace, was held.
